Jazz Guitar Lessons:
Jazz guitar lessons involve an intensive study
of scales, arpeggios, chords and approach notes
required for mastering the jazz guitar idiom.
A systematic series of jazz guitar lessons focuses
on performance in all twelve keys, major modes,
minor modes, improvisation, sight-reading, theory
and more.
Blues Guitar Lessons:
Students taking blues guitar lessons are encouraged
to master the fundamentals of the instrument.
This includes learning to use the entire neck
of the instrument from low E to high D. A systematic
series of blues guitar lessons focuses on the
beginning, intermediate and advanced styles of
the blues while developing a solid repertoire
of songs in this idiom.
Electric Guitar Lessons:
As with blues guitar lessons, students taking electric
guitar lessons are encouraged to master the fundamentals
of the electric guitar. This includes learning
to use the entire neck of the instrument from
low E to high D. A systematic series of electric
guitar lessons focuses on exercises, scales,
chords and arpeggios while developing a solid
repertoire of songs.
Acoustic Guitar Lessons:
Students have the option of learning to play in
the acoustic folk, rock or blues idioms. A systematic
series of acoustic guitar lessons focuses on
strumming patterns, chords, triads and melody
lines while developing a solid repertoire of
songs that are well suited for the acoustic guitar.
Rock Guitar Lessons:
Similar to electric and blues guitar lessons, mastery
of the fundamentals is strongly encouraged. A
systematic series of lessons focuses on pentatonic
scale patterns utilizing beginning, intermediate
and advanced chord patterns and progressions.
Rock guitar lessons also involve right hand rhythms,
speed drills, licks specific to the rock idiom,
single string soloing and vertical soloing while
developing a solid repertoire of rock ‘n’ roll
songs. |
